An opportunity has arisen for a Demi Chef De Partie to join The Kings Hotel, our 3AA Rosette Hotel in Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire.

The Jackrabbit Restaurant, with its golden stone, beamed ceilings and a huge candle strewn open fireplace sets the scene for an evening of cosy dining.

We deliver modern British food with a contemporary twist in our Jackrabbit Restaurant. Not so much a revival of old dishes, but a re-interpretation, often with an element of fusion. Our Chefs pay great attention in sourcing the best local suppliers to ensure we use only the finest quality ingredients.
Under the creative eye of our talented team of Chefs, you will encounter culinary delights such as roast Cornish loin, braised barley, chicken wing, smoked squash and BBQ leeks.

What you’ll be doing?

As Demi Chef De Partie, you will get to oversee a section of the kitchen and work alongside our talented Head and Sous Chef to create freshly prepared, seasonal food that looks and tastes delicious. Our team use a mixture of traditional and innovative cooking methods to showcase the best ingredients sourced from a wealth of quality local suppliers. From butchers to breweries, dairies to distilleries, farmers to fishmongers.

You will assist the Senior Chefs in the dish and menu development, leading by example and encouraging and supporting the junior chefs to contribute ideas and creativity.

Participating in the organisation of ordering, cost controlling, and wastage of food is key, ensuring all procedures are maintained to the required standards set by the Head Chef.

What you’ll need?

The successful candidate for this role will have experience working in a quality (minimum) 2 AA Rosette level restaurant, experience in a 3AA Rosette is preferential.

You will have a proven track record in delivering exceptional dishes, taking responsibility for each and every dish served. You will be friendly and enthusiastic with a drive to enhance quality service and in turn guest satisfaction.

You will be hands on with a strong willingness to learn from more experienced chefs. You will be passionate about passing on knowledge to junior members of the team, assisting with their development and inspiring them to be the chefs of the future.
