Eden Hotel Collection is proud to announce that every hotel within the collection has now achieved Gold Green Tourism certification, marking an important milestone in the group’s continued commitment to responsible luxury hospitality.

The collection, which includes Bovey Castle, Mallory Court Country House Hotel and Spa, The Arden Hotel, Brockencote Hall Hotel, and The Greenway Hotel and Spa, has long championed sustainable practices across its properties. This latest recognition means that, for the first time, every Eden Hotel Collection property holds the highest accreditation awarded by Green Tourism.
Green Tourism has spent more than 27 years assessing sustainability standards across travel, tourism and hospitality businesses, awarding bronze, silver and gold gradings to organisations demonstrating strong environmental responsibility.
Three of the collection’s hotels have now achieved Gold status for the first time.
The Greenway Hotel & Spa in Cheltenham, The Arden Hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon, and Brockencote Hall Hotel in Worcestershire have all progressed from previous silver and bronze accreditations, joining Bovey Castle and Mallory Court in holding the prestigious gold rating.
Each property has been recognised for its individual contributions to sustainability, community engagement and environmental stewardship.
At The Greenway, collaboration with local organisations has helped create meaningful community projects, including handmade birdboxes crafted by the Men’s Sheds Association and installed within the hotel’s grounds.
At The Arden Hotel, a newly developed kitchen garden now supports the hotel’s food philosophy, providing seasonal ingredients and strengthening the connection between kitchen and garden.
Meanwhile, Brockencote Hall Hotel has celebrated the first harvest of honey from hives within its grounds, reduced food waste by 44 percent year on year, and expanded initiatives supporting local charities and low-carbon activities for guests.
Jayne O’Malley, Group Operations Director at Eden Hotel Collection, has worked closely with the hotels to support their sustainability journey. She said:
“Sustainability matters on many levels. It is the right thing to do for our teams, our communities, future generations and the planet. It is also something that matters deeply to our guests, who expect us to take our responsibilities seriously.
Our teams are proud to provide luxury hospitality with a conscience, and I am immensely proud of the progress they have made.
Achieving gold status across all of our hotels is a significant achievement and reflects the consistent commitment shown by every team member. From how we care for our people and communities, to responsible food sourcing, waste reduction and protecting the natural environments around our hotels, sustainability is embedded in everything we do.
Our focus now is to continue learning, improving and discovering new ways to create positive impact so these achievements leave a lasting legacy for future generations.”
While the hotels remain rooted in their individual destinations, this collective recognition highlights a shared commitment across the Eden Hotel Collection to deliver exceptional hospitality while caring for the landscapes and communities that surround each property.
