The cider/sloe gin making activity wasn’t at all what we were expecting: it turned out to be tremendous fun as well as interesting and we all had a brilliant time with Matt who hosted the event. It really couldn’t have been better, and Matt really entertained everyone. If it hadn’t been that the evening event with drinks in the library and then dinner was so spectacularly good, it would have been the highlight of the day. On that note, the two colleagues of yours who looked after us that evening were just so good. And of course, for the five people who had never been to Bovey before, loved every minute of it. Simon and I have been coming to Bovey for 17 years now and although it has changed a little, it still feels like whenever we do stay it’s as if we’ve been staying with friends in their home. It’s really relaxed and low key which for a smart hotel, is very endearing. The other thing I would feedback to the hotel management team is how much all of us valued the staff. They really couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Absolutely everyone we came into contact with couldn’t have done more to be friendly, welcoming and helpful. We had a great time. We will be back in the not too distant future and thought we would return with a bigger group for my next big birthday, though it’s not for 2 years. Thank you for making all the arrangements. It was all perfect.
