What you’ll be doing?
Whether you are studying Professional Cookery or a Culinary Arts Degree, our Kitchen Placement will give you a host of experiences designed to compliment your studies.
Working as part of the kitchen team, you will be responsible for delivering high standards of food production and service within our Restaurants/Brasseries (we hold 2-3 rosette’s in each of our hotels), creating fantastic memories and experiences for our guests.
This hands-on role will provide you with the opportunity to really hone your cooking skills, gain first-class experience in a professional kitchen environment, whilst also working with and shadowing award-winning chefs in the industry.
What you’ll need?
To be successful you will be passionate about working for a collection of hotels who pride ourselves on our culinary offering, with seasonal menus prepared using produce from our kitchen gardens, along with local suppliers to delicious dishes, mixing modern techniques and trends with long forgotten traditional recipes.
You will be an inquisitive chef, hungry to learn and capable of building great relationships with colleagues.
It goes without saying that a positive ‘can do’ attitude is essential, along with a good sense of humour, team spirit, as well as a real and evident passion for the industry.
What to expect?
You’ll work in a busy and hardworking team environment, where we’ll expect you to be hungry to learn more. You will be working a minimum of 40 hours per week, across 5 days. Our hotels are busiest on Fri-Sunday, and so you should be prepared to work regular weekends and split shifts, where necessary.
Placements to commence for spring/summer 2021.

- Pay rate of £7.36ph up to 19 years and £8.36ph 20 years plus
