Our stylish, contemporary and luxurious lodges provide a perfect base for a staycation. Hidden around the grounds, you’ll have the utmost privacy and seclusion in our lodges. Fashioned from local granite and vaulted with English oak, each of our lodges echoes the enduring character of Devon’s ancient moorlands. Shaded by woodland; bordered by lakes and manicured lawns, the lodge becomes your own private sanctuary – set within more than 275 acres of Devonshire countryside.
Our lodges are a wonderful way to spend a holiday with friends, family or partners. Each property has three ensuite bedrooms, sleeping up to eight people in total. They have everything you need for a self-catering trip away with a fully equipped kitchen including fridge, freezer, oven, dishwasher, microwave and an open plan lounge and dining area; leading out onto a balcony with views over the grounds.
When it comes to dining in your lodge, you have plenty of options, for example, choose one of our takeaway style menus delivered directly to your door cooked and ready to eat! Our lodge dining concepts are a no fuss, perfectly cooked and prepared selection choosing from family favourites through to our ‘Indulgent Dining to Share’ which includes classics such as Beef Wellington. If you prefer to cook for yourself why not opt for one of the pantry packs, perfect to enjoy from the comfort of your own lodge. If you fancy dining out, why not head up to the hotel and book a table in the award-winning Smith’s Brasserie, or discover a captivating menu in our ‘Tasting Room’.
Based in the grounds, our range of exciting activities are right on your doorstep! The whole family can enjoy activities such as falconry displays, egg collecting, deer park tours to name but a few, there’s so much to choose! Looking for more thrilling activities? Try our off road driving experience, archery, air rifle shooting, clay pigeon shooting or fly fishing. After a busy day of activities, relax with the use of the spa, swimming pool and golf course.
Our lodges are also dog-friendly, which means you can even bring your furry friend*! Our 275 acre estate sits on Dartmoor National Park with nature trails or riverside walks next to the tranquil River Bovey and is sure to provide the ultimate tail-wagging experience!
