An opportunity has arisen for a Sous Chef to join our 3AA Rosette Restaurant at The Kings Hotel, in Chipping Campden, where Head Chef Dan Joss oversees the menus for lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.

The Jackrabbit Restaurant, with its golden stone, beamed ceilings and a huge candle strewn open fireplace sets the scene for an evening of cosy dining.
We deliver modern British food with a contemporary twist in our Jackrabbit Restaurant. Not so much a revival of old dishes, but a re-interpretation, often with an element of fusion. Our Chefs pay great attention in sourcing the best local suppliers to ensure we use only the finest quality ingredients.
Under the creative eye of our talented team of Chefs, you will encounter culinary delights such as roast Cornish loin, braised barley, chicken wing, smoked squash and BBQ leeks.

What you’ll be doing?
As Sous Chef, you will assist our talented Head Chef in managing the kitchen brigade, organising the workload and delegating to junior chefs where necessary.
You will motivate and inspire the team to work together effectively, leading by example and encouraging and supporting the team to contribute ideas.
You will be proactive in self-development and the development of all members of the kitchen brigade. Motivating and promoting positive behaviour is also key.
What you’ll need?
You will be a highly motivated individual who can demonstrate success at this level, ideally someone who has worked in this or a similar role in a high-quality established Restaurant or Hotel and is looking for a fresh challenge, or a Junior Sous Chef looking for a step up.
A passion for fine ingredients and excellent presentation is a must. You will have a proven track record in delivering exceptional dishes, taking responsibility for each and every dish served.
You must be able to display excellent management of people and control whilst supporting the Head Chef in developing and driving your team to excellence.
